Words, pictures and adventures in colour

Hand illustrating and painting since 2005, my work is focused on the natural world and children's illustration.

My writing portfolio includes prize winning short stories, multiple bylines in the national press, copywriting for third sector organisations and for businesses with heart and integrity.

Whether developing content for Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew,  visual learning aids for Seed Madagascar, illustrated recipe books for Ovarian Cancer Action, or adventures in children's picture books, I seek out opportunities to combine my love of the hand drawn line, the natural world and the written word.

The best correspondence is always a good story and I find it joyful to create hand made products that will help people to tell theirs. Everything in my shop is intended to spark the imagination, whether a bird made to fly through a loved one's letterbox, a tea towel to accompany a cherished recipe, or a treasure hunt that can pepper the receiver's landscape with picture book dust, planting seeds of interest in the natural world.
