This article explores our motivation for writing a new 'Pollination Trail' at Kew, highlighting a variety of lesser known pollinators.

Travel the World at Kew

Exhibition content

This exhibition invited visitors to explore the world on an imaginative globe-trotting adventure through Kew's richly diverse botanical collections.

I thoroughly enjoyed writing evocative interviews with Kew experts to accompany creative writing by celebrated authors.

An interview with Charlie Harpur on his honeymoon on the Isle of Eigg captivated my imagination.

ARTICLE FOR MODERN SALT

Journalism & Illustration

This feature for Modern Salt explored the complex challenges of supporting sustainable livelihood programmes in a developing country.

I worked as an International Beekeeping Specialist for SEED Madagascar's 'Project Renitantely' from 2016 - 2018. The project sought to support a portfolio of sustainable livelihoods and reduce deforestation in the Anosy region by promoting beekeeping.

Many of the challenges drew parallel with SEED's sustainable fisheries project, introducing a no-fish zone to support the life cycle of extensively farmed lobsters in the remote fishing community, Sainte-Luce.

HONEY HEALTH FEATURE FOR COSMOPOLITAN

Journalism

Interviewing Mike Mckinnes, author of The Honey Diet, was an exciting opportunity to share the health benefits of honey in the national press.

The first hives that I worked on as an apprentice beekeeper were situated on Hearst Magazines' Soho rooftops, where they were first placed to offset the publisher's carbon emissions in 2014.
