ARTICLE FOR MODERN SALT
Journalism & Illustration
This feature for Modern Salt explored the complex challenges of supporting sustainable livelihood programmes in a developing country.
I worked as an International Beekeeping Specialist for SEED Madagascar's 'Project Renitantely' from 2016 - 2018. The project sought to support a portfolio of sustainable livelihoods and reduce deforestation in the Anosy region by promoting beekeeping.
Many of the challenges drew parallel with SEED's sustainable fisheries project, introducing a no-fish zone to support the life cycle of extensively farmed lobsters in the remote fishing community, Sainte-Luce.
